Corgi Fans

The long and short of it is that I love Corgis.  I married into a Corgi-owned home.  Brother and sister litter-mates.  I developed an abiding love for these furry and strong-willed herding dogs.  We had two Pembroke Welsh Corgis.  They were red-headed tri-color Corgyn.  We lost them both last year as their bodies broke down and our hearts broke in two.  So, today, I have been painting two Corgi portraits.

In the photo on the right, the painting has been started.  It has a long way to go, but you can see the progress.  Various reference materials surround the watercolor paper.

Recently, we found love in our hearts for another Corgi.  Gromit, as we have named him, has stolen our hearts in typical Corgi fashion.  Perhaps his face will some day appear on 140 lb. watercolor paper, but today, it was Watson and Tinsel's moment to shine.  Gromit, was named for the the "cracking good" dog, brought to life in the series Wallace and Gromit

In the photo left, our Gromit gets a first bath.
I could paint some more today, or I could blog some more, but not now, because it is "time for walkies."
